What is Anger?
At TheLiberation Place, we believe that anger is a secondary emotion. This means that we work from the understanding that anger is always triggered by a primary emotion, or complexity of emotions, which causes us to employ anger as a coping mechanism. Ange comes in many forms, and most people are only aware of angry responses when they are experienced in their most extreme of forms.
Outbursts of verbal or physical violence is the form of anger that most people recognize, however, anger comes in milder, more subtle versions that can have devastating consequences for those on the receiving end of a prolonged and long-term exposure.
